Spring 6AAA is located on the west side of the Rio Grande at the river, surrounded by willows and boulders.

Flow: Approximately 15 gal./min.

Sampling on Thursday, May 1, 2003 in the afternoon.


  • NMED took a 1 L water sample for the NMED Groundwater Bureau for nitrogen species, trace metals and anions and cations.

Notes: New spring discovered by Michael Dale since October 2002. Not visible, but very audible. NMED removed rocks in order to obtain sample, approximately eight feet from bank edge.
